Funeral of Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz in Antioch and Visiting Our Friends

Aloha Everyone,

As J.J. and I were driving to Antioch to visit our friends, John and Pat, we witnessed hundreds of mourners who were waiting to say goodbye to Fox Lake police officer, Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz who was shot and killed on Tuesday.

Antioch is a village in the Lake County of Illinois with a population of approximately 14,430 people. It is a small, friendly representation of an American rural community where you know your neighbors and they are ready and willing to assist each other.

It was moving and heart-warming to see so many town's people come out to say farewell to their friend.

J.J. and I were treated to John and Pat's home cooked dinner. While John grilled steaks, Pat prepared salad and side dishes.

My plate.

John's home-made blueberry pie.

We quickly consumed 1/2 of it.

Aloha -- Cathi
