J.J. and I needed replacement parts from a dealer who specializes in Mercedes Benz Roadtrek. Vicky at Lake Regions RV's was willing to assist us. The part has to be ordered and shipped from the manufacturer in Canada. We therefore decided to schedule the work on our return trip from the East Coast.
As we drove on I-94 East, J.J. and I noticed road signs with familiar names. Sinclair Lewis is a native of Saul Centre, MN. In 1930, he became the first American writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Garrison Keillor made the fictional town of Lake Wobegon in his radio show, "A Prairie Home Companion," a familiar household name. We saw a number of trails that are named Lake Wobegon.
We drove through the twin city of Minneapolis and St Paul and arrived at Twin Springs Campground in Menomonie, Wisconsin as the sun was beginning to set.
J.J. and I took a leisurely walk to the lake before our sumptuous dinner of wild Alaskan salmon.
