Reverse Meterological Spring

Aloha Everyone,

The current weather in Southern California is absolutely perfect. It is usually overcast in early in the morning, then the sky turns bright blue by mid-day. Days are sunny, but not too hot due to cool breezes. For outdoor loving Southern Californians, one cannot ask for more.

According to the news release by the National Meteorological Service, what we are experiencing is a very rare phenomena called "reverse meteorological spring." This means that the average monthly temperatures decrease as summer approaches, instead of increase. Per their available data, it is the first time that has happened in nearly a century. Based on the records which is available since 1877, a "reversed metrological spring" has only happened in 1914 and 1921.

J.J. and I count our blessings that we were away in March, April when it was very hot and are now here to enjoy this beautiful weather.

Aloha -- Cathi
