If I have a choice of choosing who to be included in my first yoga and meditation class, I could not have done better. This is absolutely the best group of people one can find anywhere. They are generous, gracious, diversified and truly compassionate individuals.

Sharon made arrangements to use the recreation room and to inform our yoga ohana (family) about my desire to practice yoga and meditation together. It's been almost 9 months since our last class. It was as if I was gone for a couple of weeks. After about an hour of actual practice, the rest of the time, we chatted and caught up with each other's lives. I try to talk to some by phone on a regular basis, but I promise to do better in the coming month.

Aggie and John
John gave me a ride back and we made a detour to stop at his condo in Waikiki so I could visit his wife. Pat had a prior commitment and was unable to join our practice. She had Jasmine Tea all ready for me. A brief visit extended to past lunch time as we always have so much to talk about. I will save John and Pat for another blog entry.
Today, I wanted to share the amazing quilt bedspread they are using. Pat's dear friend, Bonni Younk from Greensbay, WI made this quilt using materials from John's late mother's muu muus. John's mother loved the beauty of muu muu and ease of wearing them that she wore them regularly. John and Pat told us that she had a muu muu for every occasion. All her muu muus were purchased in Hawaii during their travels to the Islands.and when she passed away, they didn't know what to do with so many. They were very grateful when Bonni offered to take them and she gave a new life to the old muu muus.
