Meeting People, the Best Part of Farmers Market

Aloha Everyone,

Occasionally we find some unusual produce at neighborhood farmers market. However the best part is meeting people.

Dominic was a pleasant fellow but rather shy as he was minding the stall displaying beautiful vegetable crops. When I asked him for particulars, he preferred that I speak with the owner who was taking a rest in his truck.

Here is one if the white sweet potatoes we purchased. Firm meat and sweet, they are perfect for snack.

Celia Marquez is a charming, enthusiastic lady with tasty products. My apologies as the photo does not do justice to her. Read about her company and products at www.celiasgourmettiffee.com

Peter was in the next booth selling Mama's Products.

Here is Peter with Jonathan, the son of the owner, "Mama" who I was told has been making products for over 50 years.

The lemon tree in my Mother's backyard bears superior crops. Round and juicy, they are perfect for juicing. This afternoon I helped her harvest about 30 fruits which is only about 20% of what is still remaining on the tree.

Aloha -- Cathi
