Aloha Everyone,
This morning we took Honu for his 15,000 miles check up at the Mercedes Benz service center in Lindon, Utah.
One of the reasons why we chose to buy a Mercedes Benz RV, is that their after service is excellent. We remember from our first Mercedes RV experience nearly 30 years ago. When we found ourselves where the entire neighborhood was dusty and unkempt, driving into a Mercedes Benz service center was like stepping into another world. Everything was spotless, shiny and clean.
Our waiting room was spacious and their complimentary beverage and light snacks were appreciated.
Scott taught kinetic movements and dance including ballroom dancing at a college. He has traveled around the globe taking his students to dance competitions. Scott mentioned that one of his students was the dance coach to Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez for the movie "Shall We Dance"
Years of dancing was not kind to his knees. Here Scott is showing us a red "Smart" car made by Mercedes Benz.
Mom's Restaurant advertises itself as the "Best Food In Town". Located on the Main Street in Salina. It's fame goes back to 1936, when National Geographic did a story of Utah that included a photo of this restaurant.
The interior is rustic, but it smelled of mom's kitchen. J.J. had a steak for lunch and I ate grilled salmon. Both dishes were served with a large home-made Navajo fry bread.
After being on the road for a full day, we are staying at a RV park near the entrance to Capitol Reef National Park.
Clark at the county tourist information was extremely helpful. Originally from Moab, Clark loves Utah and love to share his knowledge with people who stopped by.
Aloha -- Cathi
