J.J. and I are back in Las Vegas on our way to Utah. Paul, one of our son's friends, recommended that we download the Dark Sky app for my iPhone. This app not only gives information on the current temperature, but also gives us a very accurate weather report for the next 24 hours and the next 7 days. Dark Sky pinpoints your location on their global map using their state-of-the-art technology making it very user friendly.
From the time we left San Diego, Dark Sky app gave us weather reports of the places we passed.
What was impressive was when we were in Nipton, CA, there was an alert that stated " drizzle starting in 5 minutes" and it did!
It is still 100 degrees outside and according to the Dark Sky app, there is no precipitation in the next hour and by 5:00 AM the temperature should drop to 82 degrees F.
The sky reflecting the sunset is beautiful in the desert, but we know we will be a lot happier when we get to a cooler climate tomorrow in Utah.
