Aloha Everyone,
Last night, we had a dinner with Richard & Terttu, our friends from the Philippines. We are very fortunate that the four of us were in San Diego at the same time. Seeing our friends and thinking about us finally embarking on our RV road trip made us excited that neither one of us slept too well.
Driving on I-15, I am always amazed at the ever changing colors of California foothills, (BTW, to those of you who asked if the watercolor painting of San Diego foothill was a work of my granddaughter, the answer is YES!)
Our lunch stop in Bakers was a real treat. Mad Greek restaurant has been featured in an episode of Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. J.J. and I shared orders of gyro and Greek salad. There is a mandatory tip plus service charge added to your bill.
For our two dishes, we paid $21.11. Quality was excellent and in our opinion, as close to authentic Greek as you can get in the middle of California desert.
Tonight we are staying at a RV park located in Northern Las Vegas. This will be our first night sleeping in our RV.
Just finished our first real meal in our RV. J.J. is working on his laptop while I am finishing my blog, details of our first RV park will be in my tomorrow's entry.
Wishing you all a happy, beautiful evening.
Aloha -- Cathi
